Key Takeaways:
  • ATHLEAN-X on YouTube, Jeff Cavaliere's channel, showed 14.3M subscribers, 1,721 videos and 2,854,571,364 views on October 12, 2026
  • His company sells 40+ training programs. The best sellers are listed at $97 each for lifetime access to one program, and an All Axcess pass unlocks every program for $199 a year, shown on the site as $16.59 a month
  • That pass lives in a web portal. In the US App Store, the brand has two apps: 6 Pack Promise, a 2013 abs app with a $2.99 full version and 4,674 ratings, and a photo-based nutritionApp from May 2026 at $4.99 a month, with 0 US ratings so far
  • The useful test is where a stranger who has never watched you first meets what you sell. For ATHLEAN-X, the answer to a search like "workout plan" is someone else's app
Most fitness creators are still working out what to sell. Jeff Cavaliere worked that out years ago: programs, a membership, supplements and a live event, all under one brand. What makes ATHLEAN-X worth studying in 2026 is where each of those products is sold, and who can find it. Jeff Cavaliere is a physical therapist and strength coach who founded ATHLEAN-X. According to his company's coach page, he served as Head Physical Therapist and Assistant Strength Coach for the New York Mets, holds a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His coach page describes his approach as "putting the science back in strength," and that is the channel's whole format: one exercise or mistake at a time, explained through anatomy. The ATHLEAN-X YouTube channel joined YouTube on December 16, 2006 and promises free weekly workouts. The brand also posts on Instagram and Facebook. The site's disclaimer names Cavaliere as the owner of ATHLEAN-X and of Sports Performance Factory LLC in Westport, Connecticut, which is also the seller on both apps. ATHLEAN-X makes money from training programs sold one at a time or through an annual pass, ATHLEAN-RX supplements, apparel and resistance bands, tickets to its AX Live event, and two iPhone apps. Only the All Axcess pass and the nutrition app renew. The programs page lists four best sellers (X-PRESS, AX-1 Training Camp, Total Beaxst and MAX Size), each a 12-week system with a meal plan, each marked down from $124 to $97. The site's navigation also carries protein, pre-workout and stacks under the ATHLEAN-RX name, plus an AX Live 2027 ticket page. The company doesn't publish revenue, so nothing here ranks those lines by size. The All Axcess page sets the two models side by side.
The pricing panel on the ATHLEAN-X All Axcess page on October 12, 2026: lifetime access to one program at $97.00, as low as $49.99, beside one year of access to all programs at $16.59 a month
The page's checkout data prices the pass at $199, against a list price of $299, which is where $16.59 a month comes from. The FAQ says plans run for three or 12 months, that access ends when a membership lapses, and that "all saved progress on programs will instantly be resumed" on renewal. The pass includes every program, the meal plans, the community forums and support from staff the site calls Athlean X-perts. The site says Team Athlean has more than 500,000 members, a figure it doesn't date. The arithmetic is plain. Two $97 programs cost $194. The pass costs $5 more and includes the other 38-plus. On day 91, a customer who bought one ATHLEAN-X program has finished it and must choose and buy another. A customer on the All Axcess pass simply starts the next program. Most best sellers run 12 weeks, so the length of the program sets the date of the next sale. That is why the pass is priced the way it is. It's the second program, sold in advance. A lifetime program is a good product for someone who trains in one block a year. The pass suits the person who, like the reviewers quoted on the page, has gone from AX-1 to Beaxst to Old School Iron and keeps going. Our guide to annual vs monthly subscriptions covers what that annual commitment does to retention. Neither app sells the programs. 6 Pack Promise was released on April 26, 2013. It's free, with a $2.99 full version and $0.99 exercise groups, and its listing says Cavaliere demonstrates all 105 exercises. It showed 4,674 ratings at 4.7 and was last updated in August 2026. nutritionApp was released in May 2026. You photograph a meal and it estimates calories and macros. It sells a $4.99 monthly membership, and its terms live at nutrition.athleanx.com. On October 12 it showed no US ratings. So the brand's newest subscription in the App Store is a food tracker, while its training subscription, the product the channel is about, sits behind a web login. A stranger who has never watched ATHLEAN-X and searches the US App Store for "workout plan" or "strength training" finds subscription apps from other companies first. Fitbod leads "workout plan" with 287,148 ratings, and LADDER, which sells coach-led strength plans with a $179.99 PRO Annual tier, shows 207,202.
US App Store rating counts on October 12, 2026: ATHLEAN-X's 6 Pack Promise with 4,674 and nutritionApp with 0, beside Fitbod with 287,148 and LADDER with 207,202
LADDER is close to the same offer as All Axcess: structured strength programs from named coaches, billed annually. Fitbod builds the plan for you. Both turn up for people who search by goal rather than by a coach's name. That's the test we'd suggest to any coach: where does someone who has never seen your videos first meet what you sell? For ATHLEAN-X, a YouTube viewer is shown the web portal, the program quiz and the supplements. Someone searching the App Store is shown a competitor. That's a choice, and web checkout keeps more of each sale (our guide to link-out checkout rates sets out the current numbers). It also means the brand's distribution depends on the channel. Jeremy Ethier took a different route with the same kind of audience. His Built With Science+ app costs $189 a year, close to the All Axcess price, and the program itself lives in the app. ATHLEAN-X doesn't publish revenue, the split between program buyers and pass members, or how many people use either app. The site's "well over 11 million followers" line is lower than the channel's current 14.3M, so its company-stated numbers may be older than they look. Rating counts measure reviews, not buyers, and the nutrition app is five months old. We have not used the portal or either app. All figures were read on October 12, 2026 and may change. If you're a fitness or coaching creator with 50K or more followers who already sell a program, ATHLEAN-X shows where that business can go: a library, a pass that sells the next program before the first one ends, and products for the hours your audience isn't training. Chris Bumstead's supplement business shows the same thing from the nutrition side. What's left is the customer who has never heard of you. Building a product that meets that person is the first step. Running it after launch, from new programs and releases to pricing and retention, is what Built by Foundry does, and why we keep running products after launch.
