1. Delete Your Account In The App
Account deletion is available inside Quiz Quest. Open the App and go to Me > Settings > Delete Account. Follow the confirmation steps shown there.
This is the fastest way to delete your account because it lets us identify the anonymous player account on your device.
2. Request Deletion Without The App
If you no longer have Quiz Quest installed, email privacy@builtbyfoundry.io with the subject Quiz Quest Data Deletion Request.
Include any information that can help us locate the account, such as your display name, approximate last play date, device type, Apple receipt information if relevant, and Facebook profile ID if you connected Facebook.
We may request additional information to verify that you control the account before deleting it.
3. What We Delete
The account deletion workflow covers profile, friends, match history, gameplay records, and linked Facebook data except where retention is legally required.
- Player profile and anonymous account data.
- Quest progress, score history, saved settings, avatar choices, inventory state, and active gameplay records.
- Friends, matched friend links, Facebook ID, Facebook display name, and Facebook matched friend IDs.
- Match history, challenge history, friend activity, and social activity tied to the account.
- Push notification tokens tied to the account.
- Support information tied only to the deleted account where we no longer need it for legal, security, or support reasons.
4. What May Be Kept
Certain purchase records may be kept where required for tax, audit, payment, and legal compliance.
- Purchase records, receipts, refunds, chargebacks, tax, and accounting records may be retained for 7 years for US IRS, tax, audit, payment, and legal compliance.
- Aggregated analytics that no longer identifies a player may be retained.
- Records needed to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, maintain security, or comply with law may be retained as permitted by law.
- Backup copies may persist for a limited period until overwritten or deleted through ordinary backup cycles.
5. Timing
We delete eligible account data from active systems within 30 days after receiving and verifying your request.
When deletion is complete, we may send a confirmation if you contacted us by email.
6. Facebook Disconnect
You can disconnect Facebook without deleting your whole Quiz Quest account from Me > Settings. Disconnecting Facebook deletes the stored Facebook ID and matched friend links from active systems.
