1. Who we are
Stain Fix is a mobile app for iOS and Android operated by BUILTBYFOUNDRY, Inc., a Delaware corporation formerly known as Playpen Games, Inc. ("BBF," "we," or "us"). The App is built around the stain-removal methodology of Kristen Donathan (@southernescape03), our creator partner.This policy covers what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at privacy@builtbyfoundry.io.Stain Fix is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.2. What we collect
2.1 Account info
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. You can sign up with email or through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.2.2 Stain photos
When you scan a stain, the photo you take or select is uploaded to our backend and sent to a third party AI provider so we can generate a diagnosis and cleaning steps. Scans are stored so you can see them in your scan history.2.3 Subscription status
If you subscribe, our billing partner RevenueCat records your subscription status, plan, and renewal state so the app can unlock paid features. Payments themselves are processed by Apple or Google, not by us.2.4 Product analytics
We record how the app is used (screens viewed, buttons tapped, session length, device type, app version) through PostHog. We anonymize this data where possible.2.5 Crash and error telemetry
Sentry receives automatic crash reports and error logs so we can find and fix bugs.2.6 Push notification tokens
If you allow notifications, we store the push token your device gives us so we can send reminders and updates.3. How we use this information
We use your information to:• Run your account and sync your scan history across your devices• Analyze your stain photos and return cleaning guidance
• Unlock subscription features and handle renewals
• Send notifications you have opted into
• Fix bugs and improve the app
• Protect the app from abuse and meet legal obligationsWe do not sell your personal data. We do not show third party ads in the app. We do not use your stain photos to train public AI models.
4. Third parties we work with
To run Stain Fix we rely on a small set of trusted service providers. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job.• Supabase hosts our authentication, database, and file storage (including your stain photos and scan history)• RevenueCat manages your subscription status and entitlements
• PostHog processes limited product analytics
• Sentry receives crash and error telemetry
• OpenAI and/or Anthropic receive your stain photo and context so their AI can generate a diagnosis and cleaning steps
• Apple and Google handle Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and in app purchase billingProviders process information under their agreements with us, their own terms, and applicable legal obligations.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your account, photos, and scan history for as long as your account is active. After a verified deletion request, we remove or de-identify eligible active records. Temporary backups and records needed for security, transactions, accounting, disputes, or law may remain as permitted.You can delete your account and data at any time. See our data deletion page for exact steps.6. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Stored data, including your photos in Supabase storage, is encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to staff that need it and is logged.No online service is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email privacy@builtbyfoundry.io from the email on your account. We verify and respond within the time required by applicable law.California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, who we share it with, to have it deleted, and to correct it. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.EEA and UK residents (GDPR)
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing are contract performance (running your account and processing scans), legitimate interests (analytics, security, product improvement), and consent (notifications).8. Children's privacy
Stain Fix is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact privacy@builtbyfoundry.io and we will delete it.9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves or when the law changes. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and provide notice when and as required by applicable law.10. Contact
