1. Introduction
Built by Foundry, Inc., formerly known as Playpen Games, Inc. ("Foundry," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the Rethread mobile application ("App") for Cait Conquers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the App or contact us about it.Contact: For privacy requests, email privacy@builtbyfoundry.io. For general questions: hello@builtbyfoundry.io2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
• Garment photos you capture or select from your photo library to scan and generate flip ideas
• Bookmarked flips and scan history that you save to your workbench
• Profile details you enter during onboarding: skill level, interests, whether you have a sewing machine, and whether you're open to no-sew options
• Account details if you choose to sign in: email, display name, and sign-in identifiers from Apple
• Support requests and feedback you send us, including any information you include in the message2.2 Automatically Collected Information
• Device and app information: device type, operating system, app version, language settings
• Usage and analytics: screens viewed, features used, scan counts, session events
• Crash and error diagnostics used to fix bugs
• Approximate location inferred from IP address (not precise GPS)
• Subscription state returned by our billing provider (active, trial, expired) to unlock Pro features2.3 AI-Assisted Flip Generation
When you submit a garment photo, the App uploads it to our backend so a large language model can analyze it and return three flip ideas, plus a step-by-step plan when you tap into one. We use Anthropic Claude (Claude Sonnet 4.5 class models) for reasoning and OpenAI for vision and embeddings, all routed through OpenRouter.
Per-vendor training disclosure: under our API agreements with these providers, prompts and images submitted through the API are not used to train their foundation models. Your photos are used to generate your flip ideas and plan only.
Please avoid submitting photos that contain unnecessary sensitive personal information (such as faces, license plates, or documents in the background).2.4 Cait's Tutorial Content
The tutorial videos that play inside the App are content authored and owned by Cait Trantham (Cait Conquers), threaded in from her public TikTok library and any custom clips she records for the App. Foundry does not claim ownership of Cait's videos. We do not collect or upload videos you film of yourself — V1 has no user video upload.2.5 Permissions
Camera access lets you photograph garments inside the App. Photo library access lets you select existing photos. Microphone access is requested by iOS for video recording but the App does not record audio in V1. Local notifications are optional and used only to nudge you back to a saved flip. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.3. How We Use Your Information
• Generate AI-assisted flip ideas and step-by-step plans from your garment photos
• Save scans, bookmarked flips, and your workbench across sessions
• Route the matching Cait tutorial clip to each step of your plan
• Authenticate your account and restore your data when you sign back in
• Send optional reminders to come back to a flip you saved
• Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, restores, and customer support requests
• Monitor product performance, debug issues, and improve the App

Rethread Is a Creative Tool, Not a Sewing Authority
Rethread is an AI-assisted creative tool. It is not a substitute for a qualified sewing instructor, pattern-maker, or your own judgment about what's safe to cut. Flip ideas and step-by-step plans are generated by artificial intelligence and may suggest moves that don't fit your specific fabric, garment construction, or skill level. Always inspect your garment, test on a scrap when in doubt, and stop if something isn't working. Cait's tutorial videos are her own creative work; following them is at your own risk and responsibility.12. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
