2.1 Garment Photos You Scan
The heart of the App is the garment scan: you photograph a garment or its care label and the App analyzes it to identify the piece and build a care plan. Photos you submit for a scan are uploaded to our backend so the analysis can run. Photos are used to generate your care guidance only. Please avoid including people or unrelated sensitive information in scan photos.2.2 Your Closet
Garments you confirm are saved to your closet along with their care details, so the App remembers how to care for each piece. Your closet is private to you and is stored with your account so it can be restored if you reinstall the App or change devices.2.3 Account Details
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address, your name if you choose to share it, and an account identifier. Your account ties your closet and subscription to you.2.4 Subscription Information
If you subscribe, our billing provider returns your subscription state (active, trial, expired) so the App can unlock premium features. Apple processes the payment itself; we never see your card details.2.5 Usage and Diagnostics
We collect anonymous analytics (screens viewed, features used, scan counts) to understand what helps people and what does not. These events are not linked to your identity.2.6 What the App Does Not Do
No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no selling of your data. Camera and photo library access are used only for garment scans, and you can revoke them at any time in your device settings.3. How We Use Your Information
• Identify garments and generate care guidance from your scan photos
• Save confirmed garments and their care methods to your private closet
• Authenticate your account and restore your closet when you sign back in
• Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, restores, and support requests
• Send optional reminders and tips if you turn them on
• Monitor product performance, debug issues, and improve the App
• Detect abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with service providers to operate the App. All are contractually required to protect your data and use it only as we instruct.Infrastructure and Authentication: Supabase (database, storage, auth, edge functions). Sign in handled with Apple and Google. Data processed in the United States.AI Analysis: Garment photos are analyzed by large language model providers under API agreements that do not permit using your photos to train their foundation models. Your photos are used to generate your care guidance only.Subscriptions and Payments: RevenueCat for subscription management. Apple App Store for payment processing. Apple handles refunds.Analytics: PostHog for anonymous product analytics (screens viewed, features used, scan counts).Distribution: Apple App Store for distribution, in-app purchases, and TestFlight beta testing.We Never Sell Your Data. The App is hosted in the United States. If you access from other regions, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.EU/UK Users: We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all processors. We retain data only as long as necessary or required by law.While your account is active: your account details, closet, and subscription state are retained so the App keeps working for you.Scan photos: used to run your analysis; not kept longer than needed to deliver and improve your results.After account deletion: we remove or de-identify active account data, including your closet, within 30 days. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.Other retention periods: analytics events (up to 26 months), support tickets (up to 3 years), subscription and tax records (up to 7 years as required by law).To delete your account and data: email privacy@builtbyfoundry.io from the address tied to your account.7. Care Guidance, Not a Guarantee
Laundry Done Better gives AI assisted care guidance based on what it can see in your photos and the information you confirm. Fabric blends, dyes, and construction vary, and labels are sometimes wrong or missing. For irreplaceable or high value pieces, test in an inconspicuous spot first or consult a professional cleaner. Foundry is not responsible for damage to garments.12. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
