1. Introduction
Built by Foundry, Inc., formerly known as Playpen Games, Inc. ("Foundry," "we," "us," or "our"), operates Garden-to-Table Companion (the "App") for Matthew Gauger and Greenhorn Grove Farm. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the App or contact us about it.This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, where it comes from, why we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.Controller and contact: Built by Foundry, Inc. (f/k/a Playpen Games, Inc.), 2261 Market Street, Suite 86046, San Francisco, California 94114, United States. For privacy requests, email privacy@builtbyfoundry.io. For general questions: support@builtbyfoundry.io2. Information We Collect
2.1 Your Account
You can sign in with Apple, sign in with Google, or begin with an anonymous account. When a sign-in provider shares it, we receive your email address, display name, and provider account identifier. Your account keeps your garden, Plant Health history, Kitchen activity, saved recipes, and posts available across supported devices.2.2 Your Garden Plan and Activity
We store the plants you add, growing conditions, approximate location or gardening region you provide, plan dates, completed actions, notes, watering preference, and related garden history. This information is private to your account unless you deliberately publish part of it to a community area.2.3 Plant Health Photos and Checks
When you choose Plant Health, we store the photos, plant confirmation, symptoms, notes, check status, analysis result, and follow-up history with your account. Plant Health photos are private and are stored in protected storage rather than public links. A temporary signed link may be created so an authorized analysis service can access the selected photo for that check.2.4 Automated Plant Health Processing
When automated Plant Health analysis is available and you ask for a result, the App sends your selected plant photos and the symptoms or notes needed for the check through OpenRouter to Google Gemini. Each request enforces zero data retention and disallows provider data collection. Foundry stores the returned result, including likely issues, confidence, treatment guidance, and follow-up instructions, with your private check history so the feature works for you. We do not send unrelated account, Kitchen, or community data with the request.2.5 Optional Plant Health Evaluation Consent
You may separately choose to let Foundry use a Plant Health check in a private quality evaluation set. Evaluation consent is optional, is off by default, and is not permission to use your photo in marketing or public content. Declining it does not prevent you from using Plant Health. If selected, authorized reviewers may label the check to measure accuracy and safety before broader release.2.6 Kitchen and Community Content
Recipes you save or create, cooking attempts, pantry entries, and private notes are stored with your account. Kitchen Table posts are different: text, photos, display name, replies, and cheers you publish there are visible to other App members. Do not publish anything you want to keep private. You can delete your own posts and report content that breaks the rules.2.7 Seed Offers and Affiliate Links
The App may show clearly labeled seed offers that match a crop and territory. If you open an affiliate link, we record the offer, time, and your account identifier so we can measure whether the recommendation was useful. The supplier receives the information your browser or its checkout normally provides under the supplier's own privacy policy. If a supplier reports a purchase, we may receive an order reference, amount, currency, and commission attribution; we do not receive your payment card number.2.8 Subscription Information
RevenueCat returns subscription state, product, trial, renewal, and entitlement information so the App can unlock Companion Plus features. Apple or Google processes the payment, and Foundry does not receive your full card details.2.9 App Usage Analytics
We use PostHog to collect product analytics such as screens viewed, setup completed, plants added, garden actions completed, Plant Health flow steps, paywall views, and subscription events. This helps us find rough edges and improve the App. We do not use this information for advertising and do not sell it.2.10 Notifications, Camera, and Photos
Camera and photo-library access are used only after you choose an action that needs a photo, such as Plant Health, a profile photo, or a Kitchen Table post. Garden and watering reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device according to your selected watering mode. You can choose reminders, irrigation, or no watering reminders and change that preference later.2.11 Newsletter Signup
If you separately opt in to updates from Matthew, your email address is added to the Greenhorn Grove mailing list. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. App use and Plant Health evaluation consent do not subscribe you to marketing.Sources of information: We receive information from you, automatically from your device and use of the App, and from any sign-in provider, marketplace, or other service you choose to connect, including the app store. The categories above describe what we collected during the preceding 12 months; we do not collect a category unless the App uses the related feature.3. How We Use Your Information
